The Cloudmonster 2 PAF is a limited-edition, high-cushion running shoe born from a collaboration between On and Post Archive Faction (PAF). It combines On’s top-tier performance tech with PAF’s experimental aesthetic for a shoe that stands out both in feel and design.
Features & Materials

Upper: Light woven / engineered mesh upper, incorporating recycled polyester and sometimes TPU overlays. The upper is breathable and includes experimental details inspired by natural forms (for example, shapes from the Swiss river Limmat).

Design Elements: Asymmetrical design touches, a fresh color palette (e.g. “Black / Magnet”), minimalist style refinements and subtle reflective branding. PAF’s influence shows in creasing/overlay techniques and non-traditional lines.
Cushioning, Midsole & Ride

CloudTec® Pods: The biggest CloudTec® cushioning units On has used, to maximize comfort, impact absorption, and that rolling ride feel.

Helion™ Superfoam (Dual-Density): A reworked dual-density Helion™ foam provides bounce + responsiveness. Softer landings, good energy return.

Speedboard® (Nylon-blend): Positioned within the midsole to assist with propulsion, especially on takeoffs, giving a lively feel.
Fit, Comfort & Stability

Heel Drop: Approximately 6 mm (≈ 35 mm heel / 29 mm forefoot) giving a fairly neutral to slightly cushioned ride.

Lockdown & Comfort: Padded bootie construction, cushioned heel collar, improved “eyestay” (lace area) construction for better lockdown. Forefoot foam insert to help absorb impact.

Outsole: Rubber reinforcements in high-wear zones, lateral grooves, and solid traction pattern make it durable on road surfaces.
